Everyone takes pride in their “firsts” — first cars, first homes, even first jobs. So we were proud to tell our new friends at the marina that Novera is our first boat.

That sparked a few laughs, followed by the observation that owning an Amel as your first boat is a bit like saying your first car was a 1970s Rolls-Royce — classic, beautifully built, and steeped in heritage.

I loved that comparison. To us, Novera really does feel like that: timeless, elegant, comforting, and safe, with a style that is old school and detailed.

So now she has a nickname…
